My name is Vicki and I live in Jerrabomberra, NSW, right next door to Canberra, Australia. I am married and have two adult children and three grandsons.
I have always had a leaning toward crafting since I was young. My grandmother taught me to crochet, knit and do embroidery when I was 5 years old and from then I wanted to try each new craft fad that arose; from porcelain doll making to folk art to quilting and finally discovering the wonderful world of card making about 10 years ago.
A girl friend asked me to come along to one of her workshops and naturally became addicted the moment I tried it. It was easy and a great escape from my day to day work at the time. My stash started to grow because each time I saw her I wanted more… My space at home also grew to the point I am at now where I have a home office / Craft room in my home.
My enjoyment for card making and Stampin Up grew and meeting with other ladies in my area with the same passion made me want to do it more. I attended a StampinUp convention about six years ago and saw the love and passion that was shared amongst the demonstrators attending. From then on it made me want to be part of that family and share what I love.
I signed up as a demonstrator in 2014, ‘just for the hobby’, where I could receive discounted products but it has taken me a while to take this to the next stage.
Earlier this year, I inherited a group of ladies from a friend who had to relocate to a different state and she asked if I would look after them. I was a bit nervous about it at first but that was the push I needed to take the next step. These ladies are a wonderful group and make me want to share even more about the wonderful Stampin’ Up products and stimulated my creative juices even more.
The thing I love most about Stampin’ Up! is how everything is coordinated – the colours, the stamps, the accessories, everything! It really makes it easy to focus on the craft, and not spend time and effort trying to match colours and accessories. It couldn’t be easier.
“Creative people don’t have mess, they have ideas lying around everywhere”
This is so true for me!
